Brief Description

Youth Global Forum is a unique event, which will gather together more than 150 participants from all over the world, with the aim to come to solutions for the most prevalent issues. The topic of the annually organized event is related to the location and actuality of the matter. This year, it is "The Interdependence Between Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship - Creating a sustainable environment for social development through tech innovation." As such, Youth Time NGO organizes in November 2016 the Youth Global Forum in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta where sustainability is more than ever at the heart of the discussion. Young people that are looking for inspiration and people that have innovative ideas on how to tackle these issues are brought together in this event, to come to a winning solution for change, for the benefit of a more sustainable development of the world. 

GLOBAL FORUM

Whereas in previous years a Youth Forum was organized on the island of Rhodes, from now onwards a Global Forum is organized by Youth Time, with the purpose of going to a certain location to offer solutions to the actual matter on the ground. Last year the event took place in October in Barcelona and focused on improving education and unemployment rates. In Jakarta, the focus will be on sustainability.

INDONESIA

The metropole of Jakarta was chosen as the location for the Youth Global Forum 2016, as the city offers the perfect place for this event, as we have a lot of applications from Indonesians to our event, as well as sustainable development is in Indonesia more than ever at the heart of the discussion. YT invites youth from all over the world to take an active part in discussing the urgent situation and to come to solutions to the issue.

MISSION

The main focus of this forum is set on how to realizing sustainable development in ever-changing global markets. This forum will provide an interactive platform for young social innovators to openly communicate, share ideas and experiences with their peers from different cultural backgrounds and regions around the globe. This event will offer participants to connect and engage with other social entrepreneurs, as through networking they can find human support by like-minded people, as well as they will get guidance from experts and global think tanks in order to get inspired and find motivation to collaboratively lay down the foundation and to envision their successful future.

Youth Time International Movement

 

Youth Time International Movement (YT) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in Prague in 2010. YT offers a unique opportunity for young people from all over the world to take part in a tangible network for young active social leaders, as it provides a platform where they can discuss and solve social issues they encounter in their daily lives. YT also offers young people the opportunity to speak with acknowledged professionals and specialists, it supports an open dialogue between younger and older generations, as well as between social and governmental institutes. YT believes that sharing experiences and knowledge can help in constructing a positive future for the current generation as well for generations to come.

Trainers and Experts

YT has selected high-level experts and qualified ed project supervisors, to support the projects developers in the process towards delivering high-end project proposals. Further custom-made workshops and masterclasses are specially designed in cooperation with these specialists to offer the best contribution to the overall mission of the Global Forum. The workshops are developing exclusive knowledge and skills to attain in personal and professional life, but also value-forming processes, personality-forming and eventually a society-building process. YT offers to all participants a unique opportunity to develop their ideas and how to implement these under the supervision of acknowledged professionals and specialists.

   

Ambassadors

Besides offering direct support with the organization of the events, YT Ambassadors are at the frontlines and constantly providing indispensable advice to our organization. This multicultural group of people from all over the world have been appointed by the YT President and are mainly responsible for promoting YT and its values. Moreover, they are actively involved seeking potential partners, supporters, and friends for the organization and take responsibility to promote and share information about projects that area being organized by YT. They will be present at our event as well, to support the organizational team in undertaking social activities with our participants.

Youth Time Idea Grant and Prizes

Moreover, participants will have a chance to win Youth Time’s Idea Grant for the first winner of the project proposal, acquiring direct support in the implementation of the winning project. The second winner will get a six months paid internship and the third winner will be offered a six-month free scholarship. In order to achieve this, YT established a multi-professional team that will increase participant’s project management and self-educational skills. Further workshops and master-classes offered at the event will help participants increase their potential and professional growth.

Aims

• Realizing projects, through achievable action plans, that are based on doing instead of talking

• Spreading awareness of global issues, offering an opportunity to tackle them and to find alternative ways or solutions

• Creating collaborative projects which could bring a positive change and pave way for future generations
• To improve cooperation and mutual understanding among youth across cultures
• Work towards the future that promotes equal and healthy communities

 

YT Goals

• Offering a unique opportunity to actually realize and implement ideas or projects
• Execute a program of activities to inspire and improve participant’s social ideas
• Organize an effective and unique learning environment for the participants
• Form a group of professional trainers, guest speakers providing interesting expertise
• Conduct challenging learning sessions (mini-trainings, creative workshops), in which the following techniques can be used: learning-by-doing, teaching is learning, as well as other efficient non-formal education approaches
• Create an opportunity for young people to become part of the YT family, which intends to act as an open-minded community, to help making the world better
• Encourage and stimulate young and active people to realize their ideas and projects
• Develop the Youth Time network and to enlarge the YT family
