IUPUI scholarships for international students include many awards just for freshmen

Important Information
- Apply by November 1 for maximum scholarship consideration if you plan to enroll at IUPUI in the fall term.
- You must submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for most of these scholarships. If you take the tests multiple times, submit all of your scores. We use your best scores when we determine your scholarships.
- All scholarships require you to be enrolled full time in the fall and spring semesters. For scholarship renewal critera please refer to the Office of Student Scholarships.
- Scholarship funds cannot be used for intensive study of English as a Second Language.
Deadlines for Scholarship Consideration

IUPUI HOUSING STIPEND ($2,500)
Students are eligible for this one-time award if they:
- Meet criteria for a freshman merit scholarship
- Enroll at IUPUI in the fall term
- Submit a housing application by April 1 (international students should apply for housing by March 15)
This stipend may be combined with a merit scholarship.
Merit Scholarships
IUPUI will automatically consider you for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Students can receive a maximum of one merit scholarship. Merit scholarships may be renewed for up to four years.
Competitive Scholarships
These scholarships require you to submit a separate application. They may also require you to submit additional materials.
These scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved outstanding performance in a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum. They must have excellent SAT or ACT scores. If English is not your native language, you must also have excellent TOEFL scores.
Finalists may be required to complete an interview. Students who live outside Indiana are interviewed by phone.
